Tomer Yariv

Tomer Yariv is an Israeli percussionist and educator, and the founder and Artistic Director of “Tremolo” – the Israel Percussion Center. From 1996 to 2011, he was active primarily as a member of the acclaimed percussion duo PercaDu.
Mr. Yariv has performed as a soloist under the baton of renowned conductors including Zubin Mehta, Pierre Boulez, and Marin Alsop. He has been invited to appear as soloist with leading orchestras such as the Israel Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Munich Bayerische Staatsorchester, Belgrade Philharmonic, Taiwan National Symphony, Thailand Philharmonic, and all major Israeli orchestras.
His appearances at international festivals include Verbier, Salzburg, PASIC, the Israel Festival, Reykjavik Arts Festival, TIPC in Taiwan, the Red Sea Jazz Festival, and the Tallinn Jazz Festival, among many other classical, jazz, and world music festivals around the globe.
Mr. Yariv is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including:

He has also been awarded scholarships from the America–Israel Cultural Foundation, both as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles since 1993, and was selected as an Artist by the Israel Culture Excellence Foundation (IcExcellence).
Since founding Tremolo in 2012, Mr. Yariv has led educational and artistic programming throughout Israel and internationally. He serves as a consultant to the Israeli Ministry of Education in the field of percussion and is much in demand as a masterclass instructor at leading institutions, including the Juilliard School of Music and academies in Amsterdam, Munich, Hong Kong, The Hague, Taipei, Minnesota, Miami, and many others.
Mr. Yariv teaches percussion at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and at the Buchmann–Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University.
His compositions for percussion are performed regularly on stages around the world.
