About the event
The 2026 SympHorizons Gala Concert marks the culmination of Musica Impact’s flagship orchestral training program, dedicated to developing exceptional young Israeli musicians as artists, leaders and agents of positive impact through music.
Following successful SympHorizons concerts in Tel Aviv and at the Berlin Philharmonie in 2025, the program continues its growth with its debut performance at Jerusalem’s Henry Crown Theater in collaboration with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra.
A major development this year is the program’s growing partnership with Israel’s Ministry of Education and the National Supervisor for Music Education through the “Atuda Le'Hatzlacha” (Pathway to Excellence) initiative. The initiative supports both musically gifted students and talented young musicians with exceptional potential, providing advanced orchestral training and helping them progress toward the highest levels of artistic achievement.
Over several months, participants engage in intensive orchestral training, mentorship and performance preparation. In keeping with Musica Impact’s multidisciplinary vision, they also take part in personal and professional development activities designed to equip them with the broad skills required for meaningful, sustainable and impactful careers.
Approximately thirty of Israel’s most promising young musicians will join the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Samuel Gal Alterovich for a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. The will open with Rhythm of the Heart by the late Israeli composer Uri Bar-Or, who fell in combat on May 28, 2024, at the age of 21. The work serves as a tribute to a gifted young musician whose artistic voice continues to inspire future generations.
The first half of the evening will also feature outstanding young soloists, winners of Musica Impact’s annual Soloists of Impact Competition, performing alongside the orchestra as part of this special concert.
