Mu/Zi 2026 — International Chamber Music Festival: Haifa Edition

The 2026 edition of the Mu/Zi International Chamber Music Festival, Mu/Zi in the Carmel, will take place in Haifa from November 26–30, 2026, under the artistic direction of Guy Braunstein and Zvi Plesser—two of Israel’s most distinguished musicians on the international stage.

Over five days, the Festival will bring together renowned artists from Israel and around the world for a rich program of chamber music, educational activities, and encounters with audiences and communities across northern Israel. Braunstein and Plesser will be joined by an outstanding group of musicians, including Michael Guttman, Andrey Godik, Hyung-ki Joo, Gili Schwarzman, Rafael Schenkel, Krunoslav Marić, Taiseer Elias, and many others.

The program will feature major works from the chamber music repertoire, including masterpieces by Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Brahms, Dvořák, and Debussy. Israeli works, including music by young Israeli composers, will form part of programs creating dialogue between East and West, classical and contemporary music, and different musical traditions.

Young student performers will appear in the Festival’s opening concert, participate in workshops and masterclasses led by its international artists, and perform for communities across northern Israel. These opportunities will allow them to work directly with leading musicians while developing their artistic voice, performance skills, and connection with diverse audiences.

The participation of young artists, the performance of works by young composers, professional guidance from international musicians, and concerts presented within local communities advance Musica Impact’s vision of fostering artistic development, creating opportunities through music, and generating meaningful cultural and social impact.
